ABOUT JENNIFER JONES JEWELRY

My jewelry embraces the unique, the colorful, and the connection that all women have with one another.  I started creating jewelry designs from recylced items not only because of my desire to reclaim and reuse everything - and I believe that some value can be found in everything - but also because of the connection my jewelry provides between the woman who wears them today with the women who wore them in the past.  Every item in my collection is handcrafted by me with the utmost care and attention to detail.  It is my goal to create unique items that will be the most prized addition to my customer's jewelry collections.

 

Payment and Shipping

 

PAYMENT

Payment is accepted by PayPal and credit card only. Payment must be received at the time of purchase, otherwise the items will be re-listed.

 

SHIPPING

I often use recycled boxes and packing material. Let me know if that's a problem.

 

I generally ship via U.S. Postal Service First Class Mail within 2 or 3 days of receiving payment. On higher priced individual items I ship via Priority Mail.  I will combine shipping prices for purchases on multiple items. If the price for combining isn't already specified, please contact me for an estimate. If you would like expedited shipping, insurance, or signature confirmation, please contact me with your request prior to making a payment. Your purchases will be carefully wrapped, but I am not responsible for the postal service’s or other carrier's treatment en route or delivery.   Insurance is highly recommended (but not included unless noted otherwise).  No refunds will be given for lost or damaged merchandise except where insurance has been purchased. 

 

Note that I do ship internationally to most countries, but buyers are responsible for paying any applicable customs fees, taxes, or duties in their respective countries. Although such fees, taxes or duties may be characterized as additional postage due, they are fees imposed by the government of your country and not by me. My quoted shipping prices are the actual prices charged to me by the United States Postal Service for delivery of mail to your country so do not include any customs fees your country may impose.  Insurance is not available on items shipped outside the US via First Class International Mail or Small Flat Rate Priority Mail so you bear the risk of loss and non-delivery from the time that I release the goods for shipping to the US Postal Service.  Please also be aware of your country's individual laws regarding imports; some countries restrict the import of jewelry and I will not be held responsible for any item held by customs.  CUSTOMERS RESIDING IN GERMANY, PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:  The German Customs Office may hold your package for inspection for six months or more; to reduce the time for your goods to reach you, I require that any item shipped to Germany be sent via International Priority Mail.  

 

If my actual shipping costs vary more than $1 above the quoted price for shipping I will send you a bill for the excess shipping charges and if those additional charges are unacceptable to you I will void the transaction and refund amounts already paid.

 

If an item is returned to me as undeliverable for any reason I will hold the item and await your further instructions for re-shipment; you are responsible for any additional shipping charges incurred as a result of non-delivery and re shipment.

 

RETURNS AND REFUNDS

Items damaged in shipment may not be returned and no refund will be given unless insurance has been paid and all packaging materials are retained for purposes of filing a claim.  Returns of undamaged items are not accepted on items sent via first class or international mail or items paid by credit card.  No returns will be accepted on custom items unless I have agreed in writing at the time of my acceptance of the custom order.

 

I accept returns of undamaged items only on items paid for via PayPal and delivered by Priority Mail in accordance with the terms of this section.  (No exceptions - please do not ask.)   Returns are subject to a restocking fee of 15%; shipping charges paid for the delivery of merchandise to purchaser will not be refunded. To return any item you must provide me with a written request to return the item and cancel the transaction within 24 hours of the delivery time recorded by the USPS tracking number assigned to your item.  If your request to cancel the transaction is approved, the item must be received by the USPS within 24 hours of the approval as evidence by the tracking information provided by the USPS. Return items must be in their original condition, in their original packaging and must be shipped at purchasers expense to the address provided in the approval.  Return shipping must be by Priority Mail, insured for the purchase price, with delivery confirmation and signature required.   The Refund Amount shall be determined by first adding together the original shipping charges, a number equivalent to 15% of the purchase price and the amount of any taxes or fees that are not refundable to buyer (collectively, the "Return Costs") and then subtracting the Return Costs from the purchase price.   Buyer will submit the Refund Amount to PayPal for processing within 24 hours of buyer's receipt of the returned items (in their original condition and packaging) of the time recorded as the delivery time by USPS tracking records.  In lieu of a refund, you may exchange any item for another item or items in my Etsy shop on a one to one basis.  You will be responsible for paying any difference in price if the item you select has a higher price than your original selection, as well as shipping costs in both directions.  If the exchange item is less than the purchase price of your original item, any remainder will be subject to the restocking fee and other deductions as would apply to a full refund. Please let me know as soon as possible if you have any questions about your order.

 

As I cannot be responsible for goods once they have left my possession, you bear the risk of loss for goods that are either damaged in shipment or that fail to arrive, unless you live within the US and have purchased insurance.  No refunds will be given for goods that fail to arrive or that are damaged in transit unless insurance has been purchased.  

 

MY GUARANTEE

I guarantee that all items will be as described and as shown in my pictures and that the items will be well packaged to help prevent damage during shipment. The vintage elements contained in my designs should be handled with care - many designs contain fragile components typical of the age of the item and I do not guarantee them against breakage, lost or missing stones, scratches, or other imperfections or damages that occur once the item has left my possession.  I recommend removing reclaimed vintage bracelets when washing your hands or performing other activities that might damage vintage components.  Try not to get them wet, do not use harmful cleaners or abrasives and treat them gently and they will last for many years.
